Man oh Man it has been awhile since I have posted on here last! Good news is that God has been doing some awesome things in my life in these past 2 months!
I'm not really sure where to start and I would probably take up like 900 pages if I wrote it all so I will give you a synopsis of what has been happening.
Well first off, let us just start by thanking the Lord for letting me pass calculus...sounds silly but it was seriously such favor from God!
This semester went super well, Younglife is such an amazing ministry. It's truly a blessing to see kids who want nothing to do with God, come to club and hear the gospel taught in a way that is applicable and FUN! Seeing those kids realize that God doesn't hold you back but instead allows you to live to the fullest is such a blessing!!
Next up- I was blessed last week to go up to Pagosa and hung out with my two best bro's that go to Baylor University in Waco, TX. They are seriously the most God loving, People loving, Joyful hearted people I have ever met, and let me just tell you they challenge the heck outta your faith! They're such role models for me and my walk with Jesus, so it was amazing to get to spend a week with them just hanging out, worshiping, digging into the word, and hitting the slopes with them! I was also SO blessed to catch up with and hang out with my favorite Sonlight crew. Geeze it was so refreshing to see all of them and even more awesome to see how they have truly let Christ take over their hearts and lives! Watching both Natalie and Jessica living sold out for the Lord seriously brings JOY to me heart, and I'm so blessed to call them my friends!
I guess that brings us to Christmas! I mean what can I really say, I experienced Christmas in a totally different light this year. Yes the presents were awesome and such a blessing, but that is not the REAL meaning of Christmas. Christ's birth was the real meaning of Christmas and I had my eyes opened to what that really entailed. I was humbled by the realization that the SAVIOR OF THE WORLD was born in a manger in a stable....WOW!
I have really felt God putting me through the fire since I got back from Colorado, just trying to burn away all my impure foundations and false idols. It has been tough to be honest, but I thank Him for putting me through that because I am going to be a changed person after He is done with it! So for that I rejoice!!!
Lastly, during quiet time/worhsip time today the Lord brought me an amazing picture! It happened while I was on my knees in worship during the song "nothing but the blood" by Jesus Culture. I saw a picture of myself on my knees with my arms raised, and from behind me came God's arms and he wrapped a red blanket around my back and covered me with it! Honestly I didn't really know what to think of it at first...I was sorta confused i would say as to what it meant! But as I started to think about it, I realized that I have really been letting sin take a toll on my heart and letting that get me down and keep me down! That blanket was his blood washing me clean and He wanted me to draw near to Him and take refuge in the shadow of His arms, not to let past experiences affect me today because He has already taken care of them on the Cross!!
Well that's a brief overview of what's been happening in my life lately! Hopefully I will have sometime to update this more frequently this semester!
You are all important and loved! We are all needed in this fight for Christ!
